Keisha Nash Whitaker, the ex-wife of actor Forest Whitaker, has died at the age of 51, following a battle with anorexia.
The former couple’s daughter True Whitaker, 25, confirmed the tragic news on her Instagram account Thursday, calling her ‘the most beautiful woman in the world’ in a heartbreaking post, but did not elaborate on the cause of death.
A source tells DailyMail.com that Nash-Whitaker died earlier this week after being in and out of hospital for the past few months with intestinal problems, following a years-long battle with anorexia.
‘Keisha battled anorexia for years,’ says a source. Forrest stayed by her side during those difficult times, but the following year he filed for divorce in 2015.
Whitaker, 62, and Nash-Whitaker, were married in 1996 and share two daughters, Sonnet, 27 and True, 25.
‘They remained friends and their divorce was amicable, but because Whitaker said his wife was, ‘kind, funny bright and out – going, as well as a good mother to their children, there was no need to not remain friendly.’
Meanwhile, True’s emotional post read: ‘Goodbye mommy. I love you 4ever and beyond,’ True posted to her account over a photo of her mother. ‘The most beautiful woman in the world… thank you for teaching me every single thing I know. I’ll see you in my dreams and I’ll feel you in my heart.’
Whitaker’s wife sparked concern back in 2014 after she was seen displaying her thin figure while at the 2014 Film Independent Spirit Awards with her husband.
According to RadarOnline.com, Keisha was estimated at the time to have lost around 35lbs (two and a half stone) over the last few years.
And such extreme weight loss at her age could lead to significant health problems, according to The Hampton’s Diet author Dr. Fred Pescatore.
Dr Pescatore, who had not treated Keisha, told Radar: ‘She runs the risk of premature ageing of her heart and bones.
‘Most importantly, going up and down like this wreaks havoc on the metabolism and makes it increasingly difficult to continue to stay thin without more and more effort. Possibly to the point of starvation and pills.’
In addition to her career as a model and actress, Keisha was an entrepreneur with her own children’s clothing line, and a cosmetic’s line called Kissable Couture. ‘In the last year Keisha seemed to become more and more frail,” says the source.
‘She didn’t venture out as much as she used to, and spent a lot of time in the hospital. She hired a driver to transport her when she visited friends or ventured out.
‘Forrest continued to have a great deal of respect for Keisha following their divorce in 2021,’ says the source. ‘And he’s taking her death really hard.’
DailyMail.com has contacted a representative for Whitaker for comment.
Keisha was married to Forest for 20 years and they share two daughters together – True and Sonnet. She also has daughter Autumn from a previous relationship and he has son Ocean from another relationship.
They wed in 1996 in Jamaica before he ultimately filed for divorce in 2018, citing irreconcilable differences.
The couple met in 1994 on the set of the film Blown Away.
Speaking of her husband, she previously told Ebony: ‘I had seen him in ‘A Rage in Harlem,’ she said, according to Essence.
‘Right away, I thought Forest had a gentle soul and a nice spirit.’
According to her IMDb, Keisha was born on March 8, 1972 in Boston, Massachusetts.
Keisha was an actress, producer, and former model. She appeared in the 2004 film Proud and also served as an executive producer on the 2008 movie Kassim the Dream.
She also entered the beauty industry with her luxury cosmetics line, Kissable Couture.

This powerful passage deals with the fact that the Word of God is so unstoppable that even with Paul suffering trouble from persecutors and being falsely accused of being an evil doer and in jail, the Word of God still traveled and had an impact on the lives of millions of people, and that is still the case today as you children have witnessed yourselves how that your father preached the Gospel of Jesus Christ from various and sundry places with the help of little children and shook up the world with the Gospel of Jesus Christ and the whole counsel of God and warned the world of the coronavirus plague that came and which is still with us, and many other great exploits for the Lord. So don’t worry about people trying to bind the Word of God and trying to stop it from reaching the people He wants it to reach, by tampering with our social media and website. No matter how hard they try, they can’t stop it because the word of God is not bound. As Jesus Christ said, “Have faith in God.”
I am getting ready to preach now. By the time I finish preaching, it will be my 44th spiritual birthday in the Lord. It will also be my 44th preaching Anniversary as well, which, as you know, is more important than my physical birthday, and it just so happens to be my 35th Marriage Anniversary to Meriqua Whyte, which, of course she has been a “thorn in the flesh” for all of those years, even to this day. If you want to do something for this important day in my life as you have done for many years, and be a blessing, please consider paying this month’s Lot fee and electricity bill directly to the RV Park office for us as the electric bill is going to be higher because of the cold weather and because of inflation causing the electricity to increase. Also, if God would so lead you, if someone could have the same guy who came and fixed the motorhome the last time to come by and fix the leak for us for a reasonable price and pay for that for us, that would be greatly appreciated. The water leak is probably coming from the water heater. Only do these things if God leads you and if you are not living paycheck-to-paycheck, and only if several of you children can pitch in and not only one person does it, so as not to put yourselves in a bind to help us because as you know, God will take care of us one way or another. This is just another great opportunity and privilege for you children to show honor, respect, and appreciation for your father before God almighty on this special day. Marilee Fiebig, the ex-wife of TJ Holmes, and Amy Robach’s former husband Andrew Shue have grown close in the wake of their exes’ scandalous romance over the past year, DailyMail.com has confirmed
It comes after Holmes and Robach have relaunched their careers through new iHeartRadio podcast Amy & TJ, where they spent this week’s episode talking about the chaotic aftermath of the affair when they both lost their GMA gigs.
Now the pair are attempting to rewrite history and claim the moral high ground over their now-entangled partners – saying on their new iHeartRadio podcast that they had already split from Andrew Shue, 56, and Marilee Fiebig, 45, before they got together.
On Wednesday, the pair posted a racy photo to Instagram with Robach caressing Holmes’ bare chest alongside a quote from the Bible: ‘No weapon formed against me shall prosper.’
The photo is set to music and despite the holy verse, sees the pair cuddling closely with Holmes’ shirt unbuttoned.
Holmes tagged both Robach and their podcast’s account, adding: ‘Thank you all.’
The fragment comes from Isaiah 54:17. It continues: ‘And every tongue which rises against you in judgment You shall condemn.’
Holmes initially posted it to his Instagram story and it was re-shared by Robach on her own feed.
Amy said she was ‘shaking’ as she arrived at TJ’s place for the first time last year after DailyMail.com revealed their romance in November 2022.
She found him in a state of deep despair. TJ said he turned to vodka and weed edibles to get him through the scandal.
In the most shocking revelation, TJ said that the day the story was broken, he left work at 11:00am and proceeded to spend the rest of the day ‘pounding vodka’ and ‘taking too many edibles.’
Amy picks up the story.
‘That afternoon, you sent me a text, basically saying, I’m sorry. You were the love of my life. I’m so sorry. This has happened. And you just kept saying you were sorry. But you were using past tense in the entire text,’ she said.
‘And I texted back: “You’re scaring me. Please, tell me you’re okay.” No response. I call, he doesn’t answer. I FaceTime him. He doesn’t answer his FaceTime.’
Amy said that she was then contacted by bosses at ABC who were trying to get in contact with him to no avail.
The former ABC personality said that she was with her parents when she received those text messages and she relayed them which prompted her mother to burst into tears.
From there, Amy and her father jumped in an Uber and headed straight for TJ’s home. After insisting to his doorman that they be let up, she said that she found her lover ‘sprayed out’ on his bed.
‘I ran to you and I said: “TJ!” and you didn’t move and I remember it was the most awful thing having to touch your body to see if you were warm. I was so afraid. You were just incoherent.’
Despite his state, Amy said that she was relieved to know that he was still alive.
‘I knew you were alive. I knew you were gonna be okay. I stayed with you for a little bit. My dad stayed with me. He told me: “I was so afraid of what you were gonna find.”‘
TJ said that the experience was something the pair ‘need to’ and ‘will’ talk further about ‘down the road’.
Their initial plan had been to formally announce that they were couple in January 2024, a full two months before DailyMail.com disclosed the affair.
On their podcast, Amy said that she previously thought that 2013 was the most difficult year of her life but that during 2023 she actually ‘wanted to die’ due to the scrutiny they came under.
TJ weighed in at that point with elaborating: ‘2017 -2020, I was an absolute mess.’
Deflecting the blame away from their own actions, both blamed ABC for the way the issue was handled allowing it to become ‘mainstream’ and a ‘big deal.’
It was revealed the spurned ex-spouses of Holmes and Robach are now dating, insiders have confirmed to DailyMail.com.

Daniel Whyte III, President of Gospel Light Society International, says he understands the concerns and the controversy regarding the lyrics in Tauren Wells’ song “Crazy About You,” but because he has a humble, teachable spirit and who, by the way, from his video, he is a gifted teacher and future lead pastor that the church and the Christian music industry need to give this kid a break and help him make this right. Now, regarding the concerns that Bible-believing Christians have:
1. God is not “Crazy” about anybody or anything, so the title itself is irreverent and disrespectful; however, as a young man, we understand what he is trying to say. In addition to that the title “He is Crazy About You” can be seen as an attempt to give the song a dual meaning as many Christian singers have wrongly done, and that is, trying to give the song a Christian meaning and a Secular meaning to increase record sales.
2. God may not be “MAD” at anybody, but the Bible tells us “GOD JUDGETH THE RIGHTEOUS, AND GOD IS ANGRY WITH THE WICKED EVERY DAY.” This verse addresses two questionable statements in the lyrics of the song. (A.) God is angry with sinners disobeying His commandments. (B.) God will hold their past against them if they do not trust Christ as Savior. A famous sermon comes to mind titled “Sinners in the Hands of an Angry God.”
3. God loves everybody; however, He does not “hold people close” if they are sinning against Him. In fact, the Bible teaches the fellowship between God and the Christian is broken when we sin against the Lord even though the relationship is intact through Jesus Christ, and even though the Lord has not moved we feel at a distance from Him because of our sin. We do not feel like He is hugging us when we are living in sin in disobedience to Him.
Daniel Whyte III says Tauren Wells is a good kid, he means well, and this is a well-intentioned song, and Whyte feels that a veteran Christian songwriter can fix it pretty quickly. Whyte says, in fact, his daughter Danni can fix it in five minutes if she was so led of the Lord to do so. Let’s give this young brother a break and help him fix it for the glory of God. Whyte asks everyone to pray for him as he goes into the toughest job in the world — being a pastor.
At least thirteen radio stations have refused to play Tauren Well’s song ‘Crazy About You’ over concerns that the lyrics were ‘biblically in error,’ as reported by Church Leaders.
According to his bio, Tauren Wells is a “celebrated recording artist, multi-instrumentalist and songwriter, with 10 GRAMMY Award nominations, six number 1’s, 225+ million career video views, six GMA Dove Awards, Billboard Music Award nominations, and over 1 billion global streams to date.”
In a few months, he and his wife will be the new lead pastors of a church plant in Texas.
He recently shared a video on Instagram about pushback to his song, revealing “I’ve had a lot of people that have taken issue with my song ‘crazy about you.’ It’s kind of crazy” and that “even radio programmers won’t play it because they feel there is something wrong about the theology of the song.”
We’ve included a sampling here, with Wells sharing that the lyrics in bold have caused the most problems.

Wells explained that the actions of these radio programmers have pushed him to see if what he wrote was a theological error because “I don’t want to be in that place. I want to honor God, and I want to honor scripture, and I certainly don’t want to characterize God in a way that is unfaithful to the word.”

I Corinthians 15:48:
“As is the heavenly, such are they also that are heavenly.”
The head and members are of one nature, and not like that monstrous image which Nebuchadnezzar saw in his dream. The head was of fine gold, but the belly and thighs were of brass, the legs of iron, and the feet, part of iron and part of clay. Christ’s mystical body is no absurd combination of opposites; the members were mortal, and therefore Jesus died; the glorified head is immortal, and therefore the body is immortal too, for thus the record stands, “Because I live, ye shall live also.” As is our loving Head, such is the body, and every member in particular. A chosen Head and chosen members; an accepted Head, and accepted members; a living Head, and living members. If the head be pure gold, all the parts of the body are of pure gold also. Thus is there a double union of nature as a basis for the closest communion. Pause here, devout reader, and see if thou canst without ecstatic amazement, contemplate the infinite condescension of the Son of God in thus exalting thy wretchedness into blessed union with his glory. Thou art so mean that in remembrance of thy mortality, thou mayest say to corruption, “Thou art my father,” and to the worm, “Thou art my sister”; and yet in Christ thou art so honoured that thou canst say to the Almighty, “Abba, Father,” and to the Incarnate God, “Thou art my brother and my husband.” Surely if relationships to ancient and noble families make men think highly of themselves, we have whereof to glory over the heads of them all. Let the poorest and most despised believer lay hold upon this privilege; let not a senseless indolence make him negligent to trace his pedigree, and let him suffer no foolish attachment to present vanities to occupy his thoughts to the exclusion of this glorious, this heavenly honour of union with Christ.
